I have been using logbook pro for a few weeks, and am about to take the plunge. I find it good for the most part..just a few little things that bother me. Some of the suggestions I have made on the lbpro forums are said to be features of the upcoming version 2.... although no timeline for release is out.

I really don't want to spend cash on version 1.9.infinity only to have v2 be released a few weeks later. Anyone have an insider idea of release date?

Also, is there anything that compares to lbpro? its honestly the best looking and functioning i have found.

The last I heard was they spent a lot of time on 1.9.6 to get features out now and push v2 back for 2005 some time. Neal has stated it's "not coming anytime soon" and they do have a 90 grace period which I think is on one of their web pages. I've been using this for years, they just keep releasing free updates. They keep them all in the 1.x versions so they don't have to charge for an update they said a few months ago on their forums. They really are interested in quality and not gouging us with updates.

I have been tinkering with the idea of purchasing it because my 1'st logbook is messed up to a point. It sat around for years and years and when I needed it again it was fairly destroyed.....It was like half a logbook. I'm missing my multi-engine training and checkride....but I have all my SA-226 time which is stupid. I just had it rebound as is and bought another one but I hate doing it on paper. I also want to subtract the SA-226 time out and I could easily do that with Logbook Pro.
