Question for those who use the program:
Under the section where you put in the list of planes you fly....Under aircraft type, what should I be putting in here? Cessna 172? C172?
How are others formating this?

I am putting C172 and in the remarks, Cessna 172

Also. Do you just put your students name in the remarks section for those who are CFI's?

I just use the A/C identifier...such as C172 for Cessna 172 and so on , just as you did. Everyone knows that a C172 is a cessna 172, so just use the identifier.

As far as student names...I had to go back and put all my log books into the program, and i just left all of the remarks empty. You already will have the students name in your "paper" book, so why rewrite all of it over again in the program? Seems like a bunch of extra work for a something that is supposed to make life easier. You are still keeping a "paper" book aren't you?!?!?!? You should be, nothing on these machines is safe, and you sure would hate to lose all of your info because your machine catches a bug.

I don't keep paper logs anymore. I just back my computer logbook up onto CD everytime I update it. Every month or so I also print out the latest flying and put it into my binder. Haven't kept a true paper log for about 3 years.
