Sucks in the EMS biz too. Just like Caboclo said, we go into those same middle-of-nowhere fields too and the only way to get a hold of anyone is by phone. The FBO, if there is one, usually consists of four walls, a roof, a door, and a toilet that hasn't been used/cleaned since 1982. No weather computer, only an abacus, a Weather Rock, and hieroglyphics of early maps of the area, if we're lucky. When you've got a patient onboard, it SUCKS waiting 10 mins for a clearance. Ugh.
