I recently interviewed for a job as a package handler at UPS, and they recommended this position. Does anyone have any experience as a Load Planner? They said it could be a pretty stressful job. The pay seems like it's good enough to make up for the stress. It also seems like it might be a good "in" to meet some pilots.

Just wanted to know your thoughts.

Thanks

When I worked at an airline FBO, the load planners I knew at UPS were always cranky old ladies. UPS drives its people VERY hard, but they also pay well. You may get to know some UPS pilots, but its not going to do you a whole lot of good at this point in your career. But, you never know.........
