Anybody have the pros and cons of LR45. The boss wants to sell the Astra and I told him to consider a 45. What are the pitfalls and advantages. We are only considering the BR with an APU???
Thanks

new 45's are prettty solid. Old ones ???

The Learjet support still needs a lot of work. Over all, great airplane and great performance.

You already have the two most important things in mind... BR (XR) and APU !

The 45 is a great airplane. We can fill the seats, fill the tanks, and still depart from 5000' with room to spare.

BR mod will be nice if you are planning high and hot ops, but non BR airplanes do pretty darn well too.

Pros: Good performance. Good baggage compartment, ours will swallow 11 peoples bags plus. Skis or golf bags? No problem. Easy to fly, stable at all altitudes.

Cons? Not the biggest cabin (or cockpit) out there. Not much storage in the cockpit, I'm sorry if you have to carry all your jepps with you...

Thanks for the help. How long can it stay in the air and what are the average speeds for long range missions and/or typical mission. If you know what is a good D.O.C.

Thanks
