Has anybody tried the Mach 1 in a Erj 145? If so what are the thoughts?

I got around .95 and nearly soiled myself. I will try for Mach 1 next time, but will wear astronaut undergarments.

I have it, got the old version the Lightspeed L1 a couple of years ago as a gift. I love it! Have never worn a clamp style DC or any other since. It works great just as good or better than the older style headsets. I am also on the EMB145. Just be sure to order replacement foam earplugs they can get a little gamey after about 6 months. The other style plugs work to just not as good as the foamy ones.

I have the mach 1 after being faced with another summer of wearing the dc headclamps. Bought and had the earmolds done too....its ok, noise is fine with the 145...our older ERs and LRs are a little noisier than our XRs, but still better than the david clarks for comfort. Takes a little practice figuring out how to get the earpieces in. My only complaint, a little rough weather or a long flight and the side with the boom mike tends to slip out of the ear canal a little bit. Apparently there is a fix- they are sending me 2 plastic barbs that my buddy swears will fix the problem. We'll see...its a great headset, but after 2 weeks wear the slipping problem is pissing me off...I am hoping the barbs will fix the problem. We'll see...if not, I am selling mine on ebay b/c its getting to the point of a distraction- having to constantly push the mike side back in and adjust. Cant be doing that all the time and trying to keep the airplane upright.....

Apache let me know if the barbs fix the problem I am considering buying one

Not sure about the M1 but lightspeed is trading my old headset in at full purchase orice for one, so we'll see how it goes

I use them in the CRJ. I think they are ok, but Im ready to try something new. If anyone is interested in buying a pair let me know. In the CRJ you get a feeedback from the heated windshield so I have sent them back to lighspeed to have a shield/cover put on the mic. Works much better now.

have the old model: the 2 biggest issues

1) microphone tends to slip: my high-tech fix was to tape a nut (the hardware variety!) to the tail end of the boom as counterbalance. works fine!

2) foam earpieces get 'gamey' after awhile: instead of ordering new ones all the time, I stick my dirty ones into a sock, tie it, and stick it in the wash with my laundry. they come out nice and clean...

I use them in the CRJ with the custom ear molds. They are awesome. I have no problems with windshield heat feedback...must be an isolated defect in your headset. I have had some problems with mic slippage. I was going to try teflon tape or something to stiffen the mic up in the ear piece but now I have the "barb" info I'll call on that instead. The sound clarity is great with your mp3 player as well (from what others tell me:) ).

If your going to do it I definitely recommend the earmolds. They block the noise alot better and you can clean them easily.

ditto on the MP3 player...I mean, hmmmmm, some guy told me that it works very well, including muting of the music when ATC talks...nice feature, but only when its not too busy on the radio....

Used a set of the X/C's in the jball and loved them. They would feedback with the ANR on when the window heat turned on-I think it was 1khz rf off the powersupplies for the windows but it wasn't bad.

Great people to work with, outstanding product support.

Hehehehehe...was that in the jball??? No Wonder!

I was looking at the Mach 1's on a couple of sites and while I like Lightspeed in general I can't bring myself to pay $600 for a headset that was made in the PRC!
