Does anyone know what it would cost to insure a Baron 58 or Seneca that is flown Part 91, not for instruction or hire? The pilots would have between 900 and 1500 hours.

I hear a good rule of thumb is about 10% the cost of the airplane if it;s used for training. Maybe a little more for a twin.

It would cost you between $4,000 and $10,000 annually depending on the value of the airplane and the amount of multiengine time you have and the amount of time you have in the particular model that you are purchasing. On a Baron 58 you will most likely have to go to somesort of recurrent training depending on the insurance carrier that you get placed with.
