Hello, can anybody tell me where I can find it in the regs where it specifys what a lifevest has to have to be legal for overwater flights. I have two Switlik AV-85s TSO'd. I bought one for 34 bucks and it has a FAA yellow tag till '04. I assume this is legal. Second question, one of the AV-85s has been "blown" that is inflated (C02 canisters used), it was last inspected in '96. Can this be serviced even after it has been used? (it never got wet) What is the approximate cost of this?
