Hello All:

I'm sure that this question has been asked before but here it goes again. Could someone please post their experiences at Citation Shares? I'm specifically looking for information on schedules, QOL, what a normal day consists of, procedures for base assignment, pay, and anything esle that anyone may thinink is pertinent.

Thanks for your help - FDX

Hola, been here over 2 years, love it. Great flying, flying about 500 hours a year, all over the country. week on/off work schedule. Married 2 kids, good schedule, home for a week in a row. Have the schedule for the whole year, dont have to worry about bidding. Normal day, depends on the week. I have had buisy weeks, and weeks doing nothing. Last trip I had, I left late on my trip, 2 days extra at home, spent a few days sitting in florida, then flew about 5 hours a day for the remainder of the trip. Base is up to you, must be within 2 hours. Pay is good, check out that airline pilot pay website, forgot the name, its accurate. Plan on 1-2 days of OT a month, OT is good becuase you can kinda controll "extra" income.

Chewbacca, you say you can control your overtime. How so? I'm thinking about applying at CS and am wondering about how much overtime I could get that first year to offset my reduction in income.

I also would like to know about upgrade times. Is upgrading based only on seniority, or does previous flight experience work into the equation?

You're "on" for 7 days at a time: how often do you end up sitting at home during those 7 days?

You sign up for OT monthly. I usually sign up for 2 days before and 1 day after my tour, and I always get at least 2 days each tour, so about 3-4 a month. Most of the time it is east OT, IE, airline flight to or from base. I have actually only flown on 3 days of my OT in over 2 years. Though some people may have different experiances. But if you want OT, you will get it. One dude had over 60 days of OT in a year.

As far as sitting at home on "on" days, it just depends. Id say every 3rd tour I get at least 1-3 days at home. It just based on what they need at the time. Ive been pretty lucky here as far as staying home.

Upgrading is based on merit. Right now its less than 24 months for upgrade. There are few that do not upgrade.

When we are done growing, we will be at 200 aircraft and about 1000 pilots.

Chewy, what airplane are you on? I've never sat home in the 20 months I've been here. They always seem to find my name!!
