anyone think the level D simulator time at riddle (1900D/737) helps at all in getting a job?

737 sim was sold over a year ago, and the B-1900 sim is still there. It doesnt help you getting a job because the company you get with will train you THEIR procedures... however the sim is good to show you what your mistakes can be in a 2 person crew, and be able to recreate accidents such as the Windshear experienced by Delta 191. I enjoyed doing the 1900 sim, but that was about it, It never helped me with getting a job, and I never posted the time on a Resume. The 737 sim is a waist of time and money, i think they should do a type raiting for a few thousand more... IMHO

I agree. I went to Prescott and we had the Boeing 727 sim. Doesn't help with jobs. In fact I get the feeling some people think we're stupid for having spent the money. Agree with the above post that it does help teach CRM. Pretty much think that if I went back I would have just spent the money on extra flight time.

Consider this, the one person I've ever known who did the 1900 time at ERAU is also one of the two people I've ever known who failed 1900 initial sim training at an airline.
