These are the same cubanos that tied pontoons on an old pickup and got detained about 1/2 way to Florida. Looks like they're turning this into a sport! This time, they made all the way to Marathon, in the Keys.

I usually don't care one way or the other if the balseros make it or not, but I hope these guys make it one day (this is they're 2nd attempt!); you gotta admire their persistence.

Our immigration policy as it pertains to Cubans is totally screwed. We let every swinging dick walk across the Rio Grande and they are only crossing for material gain, but we won't take the Cubans who are in fact politically oppressed. My hat's off to these Cubanos who tried again, I hope they make it. Now if I could just find a way to register my disgust for the dirty bastar* who decided to sink the 51 Chevy.

Next time they need to claim that they are Hatians or Dominicans, we seem to let those illegals have there run of south Florida.
