Domicile Debacle is much more fitting than Domicile System. You won't mind if I borrow that for my own posts, I trust. :)
My husband and I have been discussing the issue for some time and he tells me this is one to keep an eye on.

process

could someone briefly explain the hiring process at NetJets. i understand first e-mail your resume, which I have done, then do they send you an e-mail confirming they received it? Then what? Thanks for any input.

Hi corpaviation. After they receive your resume and, if you meet their
qualifications, they will send you an application in the mail. I received my
application about 2 weeks after I sent my resume. That was back in January.
After you send in the application, they have been sending most pilots generic e-mails saying that you have met all of their requirements and that you are pending an interview. (waitmail). Although, some pilots have been called in right away. They are very backed up right now from what I hear and aren't even interviewing in March. Look at nixxons thread on net jets timetable to get some idea of timeframes. It is very helpful. It's a looong process but well worth it. Take care and good luck.

Yes, DO, that has been discussed, as well. Another missed opportunity to mend/improve labor relations.

No problem, NetJetWife - feel free to use that one. I'm still filling out the paperwork to trademark "domicile debacle". :)

And I agree with your husband that the domicile debacle is an issue to watch. Especially if the company attempts to re-open any of the closed domiciles.

Let's hope Mr. Santulli is serious about turning the company around.

Yes, therein lies the problem. The matter of pilots' rights was made clear to them recently but they want to cross that particular bridge when they come to it. So we wait and watch and hope they deal with it sooner rather than later. If RS is serious about rebuilding labor-management relationships this would be a good area to start things off on the right foot with his newest pilots. Additionally, signs that the company takes contract compliance seriously will be welcome news for every pilot.

The NJ pilots who predicted that Santulli would come riding to the rescue were partially correct, perhaps. It seems he waited until Boisture had done his "dirty work" (fighting the pilots) for him before making an appearance. Let's hope he is waving a broom rather than a sword. There's a lot of clean up to do, starting with waste and half-baked ideas like the domicile debacle.

Blew the sim back in Oct. Was told I could try again after six months. Served my sentence and contacted the folks at CMH. Sent me some forms to fill out and sent them back. Received the dreaded letter yesterday advising me that I would not be able to try again. Gave no reason. Had a very strong corporate background and typed on an aircraft NJ uses. Guess I should of had an airline background. I really wanted to fly for them. PBI would have worked fine. Such is life I guess. Good luck to all.

I'm sorry to hear that things didn't work out for you, Hawker 800. It seems there should be a standard process that is always followed to keep things fair. At the very least, I think an explanation is owed when they change the rules on you.
