I find it funny

I find it interesting how the Hourly Cost Per Pilot (includes salary, benefits and training) at a few regional airlines are low, very low compared to other regionals. Question, is there any connection to the cost per hour and saftey? Pinnacle, Go and Colgan have made major news stories over the last 18 months and it all regarded safety. What is management thinking when it comes to money spent and safety?
Look at Colgan as an example. It the total package equals only $70 then how much is going into their salaries? Training? I guess their benefits lack coverage and/or said pilot pays into their coverage. It's sad that these companies think so little of a professional to provide such crappy Hourly Cost Per Pilot coverage.

LOW SIDE
Pinnacle: $98
Mesa: $88
Go Jet: $87
Colgan: $70

Yet Continental's scumbag mgmt. continues to award more flying to Colgan....15 more Q400's coming to IAH in 2010...real smart move.
