To be fair to the ERJ...

It sounds like the payload of the ERJ was a known quantity. The problem arose because the equipment and structure additions for it have exceeded the original projections. If I am wrong then I apologize.

That would require the government to use reason before they spent money. The GAO does not have an authorized proceedure for that... :rolleyes: TC
 
Again I think the sensor package exceeded the predicted weight. It doesn't have weight issues any more so than any other airliner. The main issue now is the revised FAA weights. Those put the hurt on everyone not just the ERJ and the ERJ seems to do okay 99% of the time any way.

The E-190 would be awesome.
