Least likely place to have a car broken into in PHL?

Going to Europe for a couple of weeks, and need a place to park in PHL. Any particular lots to stay away from? What's the word on Colonial parking?

Park somewhere that is NOT Philly. That's about the only way you can avoid getting something stolen in that $hithole.

Leave it @ Atlantic Aviation. I leave my car there when I go to training or on vacation. They are pretty good about it. just be sure to tip the van driver.

I used to park at Colonial Parking weekly (non-aviation travel related) and never had a problem. On a few occassions I left my car there for two weeks. Of course they knew me and my car as they saw me each week. If you park there, try to park as close to the pay booths and the main road as possible. I always parked on the left hand side (looking at it from the entrance - pull in and turn left). Even if they have the left side blocked off, you can usually go to the right and drive around. When coming home, the van always drops the passengers off on the left side first.

One other thing, my glove box handle broke, and I had it tied closed with twine for a while. My theory on that was no one was going to steal or break into a car with twine holding it together!

I agree. Park in Virginia and take a cab.
