FXE was closed last night for about 2 hours, apparently a Lear rolled off the end of the runway on landing but its all speculation at this point. Miami center had very little info at the time I was flying. Anyone have any more info?

It happened a few minutes after I landed at 930 last night. Didn't see it happen, but the street at the east end of the airport was closed when I went to eat. Drove past the site this afternoon, it looks like they rolled off the runway through the fence across the street and either hit a building or ended up between them, the plane had already been removed.

1974 LR-25B...Air Ambulance...Owned by Aztec Capital Corp...Operated by Aztec Jetcenter....left runway...went through airport boundary fence...crossed 4 lane road...came to rest after hitting warehouse...4 on board...pilot pretty beat up but no fatalities...there ya go, just summed up the article for you. It is so much easier to read like this, maybe i should be a writer.

It is always unfortunate to read about anyone crashing but this one is different because I've flown that same plane before and the Co-pilot is my good friend. Thank God no fatalities.
