I saw the new Samuel L. flick last night...

Near the end, they have a Lear Jet land on the 6th street brige in L.A. Cali.....anyone else see this yet?

Any Lear drivers think this is possible? I'm sure in the movie it was all CGI or Digital, but could anyone really get one down like they did?

I saw that lear on the news on the bridge. A car chase went by it twice and the driver almost hit it!!!

Ya, I think it could have been done, some time ago when I didn't have a family to worry about (when I was young, dumb and full of...) and I was flying lears everyday we'd put an owner’s LR24 into his 3000' x 23' ranch strip south of San Antonio. I can't imagine the 6th street Bridge being much smaller than that.

Big Brass ones, huh? :) Still, pretty impressive.

[In a Homer Simpson voice:] Mmmm...knee pads...

Landing a lear on a bridge seems possible. The problem I have with the scene is the Lincoln Limousine keeping up with the lear on take-off and being able to push it off its landing gear. Gotta love hollywood.

P.S. Also in the scene after the jet lands and is taxing there is a fill scene which shows the gear handle being put down, after they landed!!
