Pilot will provide safe, comfortable and timely transportation for Company Officers.
Responsibilities include:
* operational duties(approx. 70%) and administrative duties
(approx. 30%)
* Acts as pilot-in-command or second-in-command for company flights, assuring that all duties required for safe flights are accomplished in a highly professional manner
* At direction of manager, performs pre-flight planning, files flight plans and makes necessary reservations and travel arrangements
* Assists Aviation Manager in assuring that the company aircraft is maintained to the highest standards, including the coordination of maintenance scheduling
* Responsible for cleaning and stocking of company aircraft
* Prepares reports regarding department performance
* Attends bi-annual re-qualification training and other job-related seminars as required
* Maintains liaison with other company entities as well as interface with numerous contacts throughout the aviation community
* Keeps navigation publications updated at all times
* Continually updates aviation knowledge through periodicals, bulletins and industry personnel
* Assists Aviation Manager in overseeing Aircraft Charters when supplemental aircraft are needed by various Stryker employees
Pilot will also serve as back up to department manager.
* Minimum of 7,500 hours flight time with at least 3,000 hours business jet aircraft and 1,000 hours in Lear 60 aircraft preferred
* Corporate and/or charter flight experience required
* Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilot experience required
* Cold/winter weather operational experience strongly preferred
* Type rating in company aircraft an international flight experience desirable
* Experience using word processing and excel spreadsheets desirable
* Familiarity with accounting procedures and budgeting desirable
