I may soon be in a position to hire a Lear 45XR Captain and CoPilot for a 91/135 operation in San Juan. It would be approximately 200 hrs/year 91 and 100 hrs/yr 135. The crew must live in SJU. Does $70K/yr for a Captain and $40K/yr for a copilot sound about right? Any input would be much appreciated.

Learjet 31A positions pay more than that, so I would think your numbers are a bit low... But then again, there's always someone willing.

Plus, not to mention you'd have to relocate/live on the rock. Who knows? maybe there is a LJ45 crew that already lives there.

Those numbers are well below NBAA. I would say another $20K to each and you'd be getting in the right ballpark.

COL is pretty high down there also, if it's anything like St. Croix was. Add 50% to the price of everything (except gas) and that's what you'll be paying to live there.

I believe NBAA says that for a mid size aircraft $82k is the average number for the Captain and $50k for the FO

Thanks for the info guys. I was using the 2005 AVCREW survey to get my numbers. I don't have the NBAA survey. When's the last time NBAA did a survey?

To whoever asked about Boing. You know it's a Boing. As in Boing 737.
