Anyone know if they're close to having a fix for the 45's yet? How long are they estimating until the whole fleet's airworthy again?

As of Friday the new design was not approved by the FAA. The first one submitted was not accepted.

Mid to late September.

Stab. actuator failed the certification as of today. It will be at least one to two weeks before any are released.

Did the owners get a loner aircraft? Does the 45 share the type rating with any other aircraft?

The 45 is an individual type (as is the 60 but everything else is a LR-JET type). I do not know what was done for the owners. I'm sure the Bombardier customer sevice complex is not a happy place to be these days.

The FAA cerified the -007 actuator today. The vendor must test 100% of the -007's , no more random sampling. At this time they can produce 5 or 6 per day.

Bombardier will covey, allow up to $2800.00 per hour less $1000.00 per hour approx. cost of operating a 45. Basically they will pay up pay $1800.per hour towards charter. No monthly hour limit of use. This is good up until your actuator reaches your maintenance facility.
