I guess I just don't have the patience to read thru all your wisdom....

You don't have the patience to read five paragraphs, one of which is a single sentence...but you wrote four yourself.

Perhaps you're best served seeking out instruction on the proper method of scrolling down past what you don't want to read. You can do that, can't you?

No, how do I "scroll down", AvBug? Can you write a 6 paragraph answer to explain?? Please spread your wisdom....

The most important thing to study items that only apply to your serial number. Lear changes their systems about every 30 serial numbers. Thats a slight exageration, but you'll see what I mean when you get into the books. Learn all the limitations and systems basics before you go. Memorize everything in the limitations section. It can be read off the instrument panel, but your oral will go better if you know them. The more you know, the easier the sim ride will be. Know the memory items cold before you go too. I had zero hours in jets when I showed up for my type in the 35. I studied for two weeks straight before I went to class.

Also read the cold weather procedures. You don't have to memorize it, but examiners love that stuff.
