We want to install a intercom system in the LR 35 we are operating. We received one bid of $8,000.00. Which is a lot of money to invest in a 25 year old airplane.

We have considered just using one of the portable intercom boxes but then you have the loose wires, in an already small and clutered cockpit.

We would prefer a more permanent internal type system.

Has anyone upgraded their LR35 with an intercom? If so who did the work and what did it cost? How has it worked out for you? Or did you come up with a better option?

Thank you for your help!

We are looking for one as well, bizjet told me they can do it for $5,900
still looking for something cheaper

2 styrofoam cups and a string will cost you about $1.25... If thats too expensive you can steal the cups from an FBO and just have to pick up the string from a thrift store.

You could just cut a string from the carpet unravelling by the door!

FREE!

(Sorry, I jest. It was just to easy!)

I flew a Turbocommander for a while with no intercom. I thought it was going to be a problem, but to my surprise, found I didn't really miss it. To be fair though, I was usually single pilot.
