Last week we were going JFK - LAS with little to do but watch the scenery across the midwest. Then a Southwest comes on the air and declares an emergency, asking for vectors to St. Louis. The controller complies, then deals with a couple other people. The captain and I sit up and turn the volume up a little, glad for the change from humdrum. About a minute later the controller comes back on and asks the usual questions about the status of the emergency and souls on board. In what is now an obviously disgusted voice the SWA pilot replies: "Yes, we are declaring an emergency and diverting. We have a load of old people from Florida onboard and all the lavs have gone inop. We're landing in St. Louis."

Not sure why they called it an emergency, but the Captain and I were laughing the rest of the way across the country. Thanks for the entertainment SWA!

That and being the resident post whore. Over 2K in less than a year?!?!
If mini were to have surfed flightinfo for the past 11 months, for 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, his post average would be a little over 1 per hour. I thought I was bad!

Or if you want to keep it more simple and realistic - 2,000 posts over 365 days only comes out to 5 posts a day. That wouldn't really be that hard of an average to beat if you read Flight Info everyday.

I saw the pic on another site , it hasn't been retouched( no pun intended)

nope.

It's just an incredibly unflattering angle. Phil missed the putt and the guy behind was uh...obviously as upset as Phil. There was a re-touch that was hilarious, but I couldn't get it small enough to post as the avatar...oh well.

And believe me...I don't spend anywhere near 8 hours a day 5 days a week on here....it's more like 12 hours a day 6 days a week :D
