I was supposed to leave tomorrow 30 May for Army OCS but they changed it to Monday instead. This is the third time they changed it on me. I was originally scheduled to leave 30 Apr but they called me around early March and gave me 30 May and have since called me this week and told me it will be Monday. Anyways Im glad they havent delayed it a whole month again, just a few days. People have told me expect the unexpected from the Army at all times. They do many thinks that dont make much sense.
I didnt think I would be nervous at all but I am. Im in great shape, Im running 3 miles in under 24 minutes and Im not really that good of a runner. The pushups and situps part of the PT test Im doing great on. My only problem is Im nursing a pulled hamstring from all the running I have been doing. I have actually I had to take a few weeks off from doing anything b/c when I first pulled it I continued running on it for 5 weeks and it only got worse. Some injuries you can work through but I found out the hard way this was not one of them. It got to a point only 3 weeks ago I had a hard time walkng when I first would get out of bed b/c it was so tight. Anyways to make a long story a little more short its quite a bit better now. I just hope it doesnt flare up on me in OCS.
I want to thank all the Army dudes on the site that helped me out.
I have met some great people off this site and off www.APTAP.org
The times we got together in the ATL area and threw back a few rounds were great. I will remember a few nights we got together for a long time without going into detail. They were fun. Once again so long, I will try to check in sometime within the next few months. Im still worried if I will be able to survive day to day with my flightinfo.com fix. Later!
