I'm staying at Wynn's this year. Have stayed at Luxor in the past. Casino's seem different, but are all the same to me. On Saturday I will probably take the lady passengers to Hoover Dam sight seeing while their gentlemen are trying to break the bank, watch the game on Sunday, back home on Monday.HEADWIND

Las

As far as a good nights rest, the hotels off of the strip are by far the the better choice. If you're a player the Venetian or Mandalay Bay are good. however most anywhere you go on the strip you will smell like a stale ashtray when you leave. The Monte Carlo has possibly the best ventilation system. As for food, Thai Spice is my favorite. Just west of the strip. For buffet my choice is the Alladin for dinner, not lunch. There is a difference in the food thats made available. Great seafood buffet if you enjoy crablegs and shrimp. If you need to get away from the madness I suggest Red Rock Canyon and Fire Canyon. Good hiking and Mt biking. Also Lake Las Vegas is very nice.

If you do stay at the Luxor, see the Blue Man Group. Get about 6-10 drinks in ya and youll have a good time. It's in the hotel.

Try Batista's Hole in the Wall. Italian place, great food, and unlimited house wine with dinner (which is actually very good). And they hooked us up with a free hummer limo back to our place afterwards... Batista's will surely be a place we go to every time we go back to vegas from now on.

If you like German food and atmosphere, try the Hoffbrau Haus near the Embassy Suites and Hard Rock Cafe.

There's also an excellent Irish Pub/Restaurant inside the New York New York Casino; I can't remember the name, though.

One of paxs took us there last year, thought he was crazy until we got to the door and it was a 45 minute wait Looking forward to hitting it again this year.

Nine Fine Irishmen is the pub. Live band 6 nights a week. Good fun, although Guiness is up to $7 a pint.

Had a really good steak ( as good as Ruth Chris ) at the Imperial Palace steakhouse over Christmas. We were quite surprised with the quality and service.
