Today on L.A. Center I heard the controller report that LAS was closed due to a crash. It was about 11am this morning. After further inquery from another pilot, the controller said he didn't have any other info. Did anyone else hear about it or see it? He didn't even know if it was a 121 operator on not. I'm guessing not, since it didn't make the new.

I didn't see anything in the Las Vegas media about it. It was probably something minor or it would have been reported. I saw a gear collapse close an airport for a couple of hours once, though it was very minor and no one was injured. This kind of thing happens every day. Must have made a mess of inbound NASCAR traffic though.

I live in LAS and didn't hear anything about it.. I flew out last night and didn't see anything either.

LAS might have been closed to aircraft without a slot. Nascar was in town and you needed a reservation to get in or out.
