$40,000 a year bonus is more then most people make. Does your boss need a son.

who cares what "most" people make?

please tell us all again how the average person lives well with a family of 6 on 32K a year.....

:smash:

drag that talk over to the regional board please. Most of the guys here saying they make 20-40K+ bonuses are very experienced Intl guys flying the highest paying equip. in corp aviation, heck some are even department directors with many years of management experience. A person with such responsibility is certainly not overpaid at the 200K range. Also, outside the airlines and union jobs, 10-25% of your salary bonuses are not unheard of.

These are not 9-5 clock punchers or whiny regional jet pilots flying Walmart customers for a broke a$$ airline.

Your definition of "most people" all depends on where you hang out and who you compare yourself to!

:)

I live in Utah. The capital of people making $32K with 6 children. If you want to know how they do I can tell you.

Nope. You have explained it all.

But, psysicx, my guess is not too many of them safely and efficiently fly the worlds most powerful business people around the world so that they can keep thier businesses successful and competitive? - thus gainfully employing thousands.

my guess is maybe they sell shoes at the mall starting at 10am (or so) each day?

Nothing wrong with selling shoes or such, it honorable...and worth about 32K/yr.

anyways....

This bonus wasn't given by my current boss. The question asked was "What was the biggest bonus you have received?"

The bonuses were always very nice, but the job sucked.

Subscription to "Jam of the month club". Seriously, best was this year, 5 G's.

I just knew somebody would jump in with the "Jelly of the Month Club."

"Clark, thats the gift that keeps on givin' the whole year!"

Got a 25% shot. Don't know how long this gig will last?
Close to 6 figures, not to bad. The local strippers will
be delighted!
That's the truth, but ya know, I could be flyin' news watch
in a 182 next year? (Not sayin' that's a bad thing.)

I got a new digital camera this year from my boss and his family, I was ecstatic to get that. Other than that............bonus? You get to stay employed another year!

just love that movie, modern classic like "Christmas Story"!

Got a nice leather jacket. :) That's probably worth a few hundred bones.

But I do get bonuses all the time if I fly a lot when on the road so no bonus at year end doesn't bother me. I've probalby made a couple grand in bonuses throughout the year.

All of these posts are amusing. The company I work for has a very strict policy against devulging this kind of information, to the point that they have you sign a statement that you will not disclose this information to anyone including your co-workers. I have always assumed that this was standard corporate HR practice. Obviously not so.

[Unbelievably poor taste on your part. Please find me a post where I have said the above to be true. I have disclosed my employer in private posts when it was germain to the discussion. Otherwise I have never posted such information in the manner you describe. Maybe Gulfstream 200 is on to something here?

Dont forget your IP address is also public and you can outed here in about 30 seconds!

Its been done.
That's what's so great about Wi-fi. You'd be doing nothing more than tracking down one of my neighbors, a hotel, or a Starbucks. Not covering your tracks, especially on a place like this, is nothing less than foolish.
