The last two guys I've flown with that had laptops told me they deducted the cost as a work expense. Reasoning that it allowed them to bid, trip trade, etc while on a trip. Also our company issues us aircraft manuals now on CD. Just wondering if anyone else has done this? Is this common practice?

I deduct part of the cost of my laptop, internet service, and cell phone. All of these are used, in part, to bid, call scheduling, etc. There are a lot of other things I deduct also, besides these.
