Okay, so they are good shirts. But are the tapered ones, styles 100 and 200, button down collars? Can't have em if they are. Who else has a good tapered shirt with a straight collar?

Buy whatever shirts you like (tapered/nontapered) then take them to most any drycleaner and have them taken in for 8-10 bucks each. If you like the Van Heusens, you can have a perfect fit shirt for around $25 each. Landerwoods are going to run more. I like shirts with around 60% cotton content, and have a bunch of the Wings brand that have lasted me nearly six years. Getting uniforms tailored is not expensive and makes you look so much better - I need the assist.

Landerwood has come out with a new style 700. They are tapered short sleeve with a straight collar. They make the best shirts in the industry.

I have used Landerwood in a prior life and ordered a bunch of shirts after my first order because I liked them so much. I still had 6 in the original packages unused. When I got a new job (whose shirts weren't compatible) I called and asked for a return after I purchased these shirts 12 months prior and the gentleman I worked with who I believe was the owner worked with me and accepted the return. Very pleasant and easy going. If you want to help out the little guy, give Landerwood a try.......and the shirts hold up to the laundry well........
If you need a taper, take it to your cleaners and have them do it......custom fit to you for about 8 bucks a shirt.

Maybe I'm just unlucky but IMO the Landerwood's SUCK. Bought 4 (2 SS/2LS) two years ago and all had problems. While they generally fit well, all had loose threads everywhere and continue to fray even now. The LS shirts fit very poorly at the cuff and look like crap. But what really gets me is how poorly they hold up throughout the day. They just don't look good after they've been worn for a couple hours and I'm not talking about being out in a 90 deg. 90% humidity type day.
Bottom line is I've gone with other types which are less expensive and the "non-iron" types seem to look better too.

Doesn't sound like a landerwood shirt... I just bout one and it is superior and the extra $ is totally worth it for they have great customer service. The shirts have less polyester than most so they may not look extra crisp at the end of a hot humid day, ahh,,, but the coolness I feel when wearing them compares to one of those poyester rags is awesome and totally worth it!

Rice, you must be unlucky. I've worn landerwood for 7 years, J32 down south in the summertime for 2 1/2 of those. They are the best shirt you will ever buy. I always dry clean (it's tax deductable). Joe the owner will treat you right every time.

Remember the shirts are mostly cotton, so they won't hold up as well as 100% polyester. If you think you had/have a problem, give Joe a call. He believes in customer service the way it's supposed to be.
