yah I heard there we're a great plane to fly even with the AP off and that pilots loved them. To bad I'll never get to fly one myself.
 
Must be based in GSO. They have atleast 6 of them on the ground around the airport.
 
I just transitioned to the L1011 and it is the best airplane I will ever fly. I feel very lucky to be able to fly the TriStar. I just wish I could fly it for the rest of my career but will enjoy it now while I can...

Will never ever forget j/s on a Delta L1011 quite a few years ago from ATL to CVG. The jumpseater had the best view in the cockpit, great view. I believe this was the first aircraft with autoland. I remember the captain telling me that overseas I think in Paris Delta had a billboard that stated United delayed, Us Air CX, DAL ON TIME..:D What a great bird...

Best 5 years of my life on the 1011. Now I,m stuck on the 74 and what a dinasore. Cant spell either. :confused:
