Can anyone give me any intel about kuala lumpur. May be spending sometime over there soon. Things to do, things to look out for. Any info about the flying conditions and the weather during this time of year. thanks

Lived in Singapore until 1995, KL is a nice city, crazy traffic, but friendly people, good food, no real religious issue's. You will find Malaysia a beautiful country, great beaches, jungles, scenery. It would be a great place to be based. Cost of living is real reasonable, cars were cheap,(as compared to Singapore), I think you will enjoy yourself, unless of course you just came off the dairy farm in the boondocks, then it might be a bit much for you all at once. Once you get your car, drive up the east coast and stay in some of the beach hotels. Just remember that common sense does not prevail on the roads, you will see some great sights.
