KTRK is not a great airport, but it's not crazy bad either. My biggest concern is the gliders and the noise Nazi's. Below you can find a link to a pilot brief and the Noise Abatement routes. Last time I was there, they had a decent restaurant, and the FBO folks were friendly. You'll need good ceiling and vis even to do the instrument approach (GPS-A). If the weather is good, watch out for gliders.
