Talk of the Double Double reminds me of a movie quote:

"He lives in North Hollywood on Radford, near the In-and-Out Burger."
"Those are good burgers, Walter."
"Shut the f*ck up, Donny!"

WHAT?!

No glaze? Have you ever eaten a dry one? It's gotta be glazed over, kind of sweet, a little sticky. Man, that's the best eatin'....what's that? Oh, you're talking about doughnuts?! Never mind...:p TC

P.S.--If you put a KK in a college town, it's got to be open all night or don't bother.
Nothing like a bag full of 'whitey's' at 0300 with a belly full of cheap beer!

Re: MDW food runs. We used to fly into MDW and have a 50 min. layover--the FO(me) would run down the the corner and get a bag full of white castles and we'd eat them on the way to DBQ. No wonder so many people on our E110's barfed on calm days!:D

Please tell me you are not talking about White Castle burgers. Those are the single nastiest burgers on the face of the planet. Heck, I would rather be forced to eat some nasty KK dounts than those white castle burgers.

Peace Out :)

Thanks to 'the Big Lebowski' I was on a 5 year search tp find an in-n-out! The quest rescently ended when I enjoyed a double-double at the in-n-out in Tustin.

You guys are KILLING ME!!! I've been on the wrong coast since the 26th of last month... It's bad enough that I have to read about others eating KKs without me, now I have to read about someone eating a double double...Let's let this thread rest until I get home on Saturday night.. Don't make me grumpier than I already am!!

Ah, I haven't had a slider in long time. And I don't plan to anytime soon, now that spring turbulence season is here. :)

Montreal Grand Opening

Well, KK just had their international grand opening in Montreal yesterday. My girlfriend and I went by after dinner to help christen the place and MY GAWD the crowds were endless and the traffic jam for the drive-up window was two blocks long! We'll have to try again during off-peak times...in a few months! That "Hot Donuts Now" sign is sure going to get a good burn-in. So long to the thin cute French-Canadian chicks! I just thank God the KK near the Cincitucky airport is on the opposite side of my commute!

Hi all,

I have to go with the anti-KK crowd here. Small, expensive, greasy and TOO sweet. Even when they're hot, you have to have some sort of hot beverage to dissolve the nasty sugar residue left in your mouth afterwards.

The plain glazed ones are barely tolerable, but anything in addition ruins them, and I like mine chocolate covered.

Dunkin' Donuts rules, and there is one a 3 blocks from my house. They have all of the 7 deadly sins, regular, creme, cake, glazed, chocolate frosted, sprinkles and holes.

Their coffee, quite simply, is made by the Hand of God, and they add the cream and sugar for you. They understand "coffee, regular".

JMHO,
Nu

Southern Maid

It's hard to believe nobody's mentioned Southern Maid doughnuts yet. Krispy Kreme certainly has more franchises in more corners of our world, but they're only a close second to Southern Maid.

Care to guess what the only commercial product Elvis Presley ever endorsed was?

Of course, Madonna sold Dunkin' Donuts... there's an endorsement for ya! ;)

hi Guys and Gals,
I RON'd at GMU(Greenville Muni, SC) and as you turn into the airport entrance road leading to the tower and "TechAir" lo and behold there was a Krispy Kreme donut shop/factory. Didn't have time to get a half-dozen for the hop to ROA:-)

Regards,
Ex-Navy Rotorhead

Not a fan of the Krispy Kreme OR Dunkin Donuts (and you can keep your nasty 7-11 donuts too)...the best donuts are at Adams Avenue Donuts in Huntington Beach. Love the Tiger Tail...lots of cinnamon and glaze and a little chocolate. As an added bonus, if you're into classic cars, there is a classic car show in the parking lot every weekend with people from all over SoCal.

I love living in the land of In N' Out...3X3, animal style...and Alberto's? Someone mentioned Albertos! Best 24-hour drive-through Mexican food EVER. Forget Del Taco. One quesadilla and you'll be sold...

I haven't been on the left coast for quite a while, but In n Out is one of the few things that I miss. Everytime I am in vegas I stop by the one my UNLV and get me a Double Double Meal with a shake, it's good to pamper yourself everyonce in a while.

Now better work that off, time to run around the block.

Baja Fresh is awesome!!! Some of the burritos are so huge that they fill up an entire styrofoam take-out box on their own.
