I was there March 2006. High elevation, narrow runway, but the valley is very wide and terrain seperation is easy if VFR. I was there in a Bravo. After dropping pax, we positioned empty to ICT. If we lost an engine, we could still make the climb gradient.
Only quirk we had was it was a warm day (+5C). When we went to Takeoff, we did a static T.O., the engines would not make N1 and temped out. The engines on the Bravo are quite derated. We elected not to takeoff and wait for it to cool a bit. As the sun went behind the ridge line, the temp dropped to 0C. Tried it again and had no problem.
Your pusing the equipment at these types of airports and never know quite what you will see. Beautiful Place!! Be sure to get your certificate from the FBO while your there.
