What extra things do you bring along in your kitbag? I noticed that alot of people have their little own indispensible items, such as a bottle of hot sauce, binoculars, a train whistle, camera, anti-noise headphones... Lots of good ideas, unfortunately I have only so much room.

A permanent set of sunglasses.

Sanitizing wipes for common use items (headsets, if provided; yoke, FMS keypads) unless you like catching the flu from the previous guy.

Extra pens (from the layover hotels--are there any other types?)

A couple of PowerBars for those long days without time for food.
