If your plane is not RVSM-quipped already, then probably not.

I was guessing that it probably was, but I wanted to know how he came up with it.

Lets say that RVSM last I heard was 80-100K, and the owner intends to keep the plane 3 yrs or less, costing an estimated 600.00 per flight over 1000nm. 1000nm flights only occur 12x a year for this operation, vs the cost of RVSM. RVSM as expensive as it is, does not appear to add much market value to aircraft.

(Aircraft that could would stand to benefit from RVSM, and dont have it are the Commander 1000, Cheyene 400LS, Conquest II, KA 300, and old KA 350's, that I know of.)

Lets also speculate very pesimistically that not having RVSM increases the yearly operating cost by 15K. This still does not justify equipping RVSM.

If you could recoup even half the cost of RVSM in the resale of the aircraft it might be worth it but I have yet to see that occur in the market.
