Does anyone know where I can get info on the King Air 100, preferably off the internet? Ideally checklists, systems, limitations, speeds, power settings, operations, etc. Thanks guys!

i dont know of any place off of the internet but if you have any specific questions, pm me. its a horrible aircraft

The -100 is a great airplane!

If you prefer to fly by feel rather than by numbers, if you prefer a quicker roll rate, better ride through turbulence and a nicer airplane to land, you'd like the -100 over the -200 any day.

Just 'cause the -200 has bigger engines, better climb performance, better cruise, quiter cabin, etc., etc. doesn't mean the -200 is better, in my opinion.

We go into lots of gravel strips in the north with both the -100 and -200. I like the way the -100 handles itself--feels more maneuverable, has a better feeling on approach and landing--you can keep the attitude steady and control descent rate with power much more easily. If you chop the power on the -100, it drops, whereas a -200 will float (longer wings). Anyway, that's my perspective. Some of the people I fly with feel differently.

I admit, the -100 is a dog in high density altitude conditions, and it's much more prone to snags. If you're the kind of guy (like me) that doesn't mind driving around in a beat-up old piece of $hit honda civic with no parking prake and one window that doesn't roll down, but handles great and runs fine, then you'd probably really like flying the good ole' King Air 100.

The B100 with TPE331-10s is no dog. Has almost as much power as the 200. Never flew it much, and never had any formal training on it, but it is basically a stretched 90 with more power. It would stop on a dime, without ever touching the brakes, and no waiting for the props to spool up.

I have not flown the A100 with PT6s but heard they were underpowered.

I have flown the King Air 100 and A100... They were both doggy... the wing is too short... it is a "high teens" aircraft... At about 220 KTAS.

Agreed Falcon Capt--it is a "high teens" aircraft. If I had a nickle for every time I've filed for the low twenties but settled for 180 or 190 due to lack of patience...:D

Those short wings, though, make it fun to fly. Especially empty.;)

the a-100 is very underpowered. single engine performance is scary even when empty. there is no manual trim, which would be no big deal, except its one of the worst trim sytems ever made. runaway trim is always fun too in that bird. the short wing is also so rigid it smacks into turbulence instead of flexing a little.
a high teens aircraft is generous. its takes forever getting up there whereas the -200 will do it with at least 1000fpm all the way up to the lows 20's.
i havent flown the b100 but i hear that its got a lot more power and nice cruise speeds. those garrets are noisy though.
