Again, you have no idea about how the Guard really works and has worked inthe past, it obvious...

People have posted with regard to this topic in the not so distant past, run a search and read.

it's funny how politics work, when Clinton ran for president we were told that Vietnam didn't matter by Kerry himself. Now all we hear about is what he did in Vietnam, everything except the part where he participated in fireing in free fire zones and other things that no Officer can allow to happen much less engage in.

I know when I was in the Marine Corps Reserve and I dont know about the Guard but we could miss a drill with the CO's permission but we had to make it up or you would have an UNSAT year. I dont know of anybody that would forge records of someone being there when they were not, it is one of those things that if caught there is hell to pay, and no one would do it especailly for someone that they think already has priviledge from a political daddy.

I have not heard of many people in Pres Bush's Unit say no we was never there (there maybe and I just never heard it though I dont know how that could be because I'm sure the media would make sure we heard from them).
But I have heard people that served with Kerry that said some of his exploits were staged and that at least one of his purple hearts were the results of self inflicted wounds. He deserves our respect for answering the call as so many opted to illegal means to avoid service, but dont throw someone in my face who stood with Jane Fonda at protest, and someone who admited to war crimes, because even if he didn't commit them as he said he did, then he lied on the fellow servicemen he said he was with at the time. It is disrespectful to those that served in Vietnam with honor and the family of those that didn't return.

From the article linked to 'bus drivers' post...

"The point of this discussion is that the military record of George W. Bush deserves a fair treatment. Bush has been criticized for avoiding service in Vietnam, though the evidence proves that the Texas Air National Guard and its F-102 pilots where serving in Vietnam while Bush was in training. Bush has been criticized for using his family influence to obtain his assignment, but the evidence shows that he successfully completed every aspect of the more than two years of training required of him. Bush has been criticized for pursuing a safe and plush position as a fighter pilot, but the evidence indicates the F-102 was a demanding aircraft whose pilots regularly risked their lives. Bush has also been criticized for deserting the Guard before his enlistment was complete, but the evidence shows he was honorably discharged eight months early because his position was being phased out.
This is not to say that there exist no points of contention in Bush's record worthy of criticism. There are indeed some irregularities from April 1972 to May 1973 that indicate he may not have completed his responsibilities as a National Guardsman. However, these allegations have been fully investigated in the past and were found to lack credibility. Both the New York Times and the Boston Globe investigated Bush's military service and concluded that "Bush logged numerous hours of duty, well above the minimum requirements for so-called 'weekend warriors.'" "

If he had really 'used his family influence' to avoid the issue, why then did he even bother getting posted to a unit that was in Vietnam at the time he entered training?

I would also think that if there was anything dubious to note that both the New York Times and the Boston Globe would certainly be inclined to report it...

.......and they have.

Bush and Kerry are both full of IT, and that's why they're politicians. I don't think I'm going to defend either one of them.Keep it aviation!

And you are correct......this entire thread has no business being in the "Major" section of these boards.

It rightfully should have been started in the "Non-aviation" section, and the moderators should have moved it over there since it was improperly started in the Majors section.. Perhaps they have been busy flying.

Pilots are a naturally conservative bunch, and a year ago, or six months, there was little dissent when someone said pro-Bush things on pilot webboards.

Now there are a fair number of anti-Bush partisans and they give as good as they get. It's no longer one sided. There has been an indubitable shift. I'd still guess that pilots would vote mostly Bush, but I'd also guess that relative to a year ago, a larger number will vote Kerry and a fair number who might have at one point voted for Bush will simply stay at home.

Kerry was in charge of a cabin cruiser in the navy and now he wants to be president?

Yea, I'll vote for him.

Yup, and JFK ran around the Pacific in a little PT-109 boat. What, if anything at all, does the boat size a young officer served on have to do with qualifications to be president.

So GWB was trained to fly an F-102, but never flew it in anger. I'd postulate that his "service" in his small weapon system, hardly qualifies him to be CinC either. Sheesh!

I fly in anger all the time, and thats in a Dash-8. Trash8mofo for president.

And exactly what business does your ass have posting in the regionals/majors/cargo/fractionls/part 135, etc. sections of this board, anyway? When was the last time you did a high speed, flew a CAT III down to minimums in freezing fog/blowing snow, had a 04:45 pickup, or had a FAA line check? According to your profile, you fly bug smashers -- probably getting in the way of PROFESSIONAL pilots trying to safely do their job every day. Do the world a favor -- go get in that Baron and practice some V1 cuts.

Oh, and stay the fuc.k out of the Class "B"

Tsk..tsk...tsk. Such a juvenile tantrum we're having, aren't we? Typical 'Right-wing nut' tolerance.

Question. Do you, or have you, ever posted or read off the other sections on these boards? You know, the General, Regional, Fractional, etc? If so, you are a hypocrite.

And what right, you ask, do I have to post and read here? I'll tell you why! My son is a captain at a 121 airline, and as such, I do find all of aviation to be of personal interest to keep up with all that's going on.

That's my right, and I'll continue to do so, since the 'rules' allow it. Kapish!

You're quite young, and immature, aren't you? Perhaps, (but no guarantee here) maybe when you grow up a little more, you might be able to send a coherent message that is not filled with profanity and vulgarity. It's interesting to me, that so many on the far right have a habit in communicating in such childish ways.

Here, you might find some good quotes in this link that you can ascribe to, and use in future postings.

In short, try growing up. You present yourself as a fool the way you're going about posting now.

3 Years with out a return strike from the Muslims. Bush will get my vote til he proves ineffective. My vote hinges upon national security, period.

And Yes I said muslims.
I was wondering tonight as I watched the news with the specific threats against NYC how long would America support this war. I personally think its going to last my lifetime, and I am only 30.
Does America have the balls to go that long?
But now I am concerned that they will attack before the election. Not that America will fold like Spain, but that we will always be vulnerable to attack unless we close the borders.

VOTE KERRY.

I have so many military friends who follow blindly and I think highly of this trait except when it comes to voting. Use your head Bush makes Bad choices and runs the country like a weak airline CEO.

Be objective and don't vote for the guy you would most like to have a beer with.

Peace,

John

umm, am I mistaken here or was Sen Edwards on the Intelligence committee that put together all that bad stuff about Al Queda, Iraq, Syria, and just terrorism in general that was then sent to Connie Rice and Colon Powell and "W" himself to make a decision about that to do?

Didn't Kerry say THIS MORNING on "THIS WEEK" that we should have exhausted all U.N. options before going to war? Last I checked, Sadam was in violation of some 20 or more U.N Resolutions dating back to 1991. And now the whole "OIL for FOOD" scandle breaking wide open showing what a bunch of blow hards the U.N. is anyway.

I would certainly vote for someone that has the cahonies to do what G.W. did. Shows a lot more courage to stand up to a bullie than to negotiate with a liar. sorry, I don't think Kerry has what it takes to see this war on terror thing through, and if we lose then all this won't mean anything anyway.

hmm, let's see,
1992 to 2000 Labor supports Clinton.
2000 to 2004 Labor hates G-Dub and Supports Kerry

May I ask, Delta, United, AMERICAN, What has Labor done for you lately?

I don't think Up Frnt (well said in most recent posts by the way) was just too far off by posting this here. It is interesting that two things are happening:

1.) Primary championing of Kerry stems from Bashing Bush. How on earth do you run on a Bush-Bad, Kerry-Not Bush platform? I don't understand. Watch all the SOFTBALL ?'s tossed in the media interviews. Every answer about what Kerry would do is an assessment of how Bush has done it wrong.

2.) How soon, we forget: Our comrades, brothers and sisters were visciously slaughtered on flight decks aboard our colors so that these aircraft could be driven most tenaciously into AMERICAN ICONS on AMERICAN SOIL bringing about total death and destruction that ONLY by the grace of God was limited to just 3000 of our fellow citizens.

I am confident, if G-DubYA had more than 8 Months to rebuild the Military and Intelligence Infrastructure so heinously gutted by Clinton, It would not have taken him 26 days to bring the fight to Al Qaeda's front porch in October 2001.

People like Kerry, Gore and others are about apeasement. 8 years of Clinton standing idle to events in Nairobi, Saudi Arabia and Yemen, led these animals to believe the USA is soft and weak in the face of terorism. The Jury is still out on WMD in IRAQ. We know for a fact Husseins boys made numerous 'heavy' trips to Syria and came back light. Politics in the UN and at home keep us from finding out just what exactly was moved to Syria.

I have friends that if they could speak today, would tell you they GAVE their lives in Iraq. Not 'lost'. Not just because their Commander in Chief sent them there, but because they believe that NO ONE should have to live under the brutal rule and genocide of murderous dictators, either President's of State or the Terrorists they finance, when a nation as great as ours has the means, know how and desire to provide freedom from that tyranny.

When speaking about our troops overseas, remember this:

-They are there so that you can be here, safely and freely, bashing Bush and not really supporting Kerry.
-They take an oath to fight OUR (that means you, too) enemies FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC.
-Re-Enlistments are at record Highs for the military. Yes, some lose the will to continue the fight. It is not what they signed up for. 9/11 changed every thing.
-You cannot call someone a Liar if you yourself do not hold the truth.
-VOTE! Your vote is a voice reckoned to be heard. Just as you would give caution to what you say here in these forums, take a moment with your ballot and think about what your vote should say about you in the political forum. Really, do you dislike one candidate less than the other. God help us all if that is how you will vote. After 8 years of Clinton, we were fine upstanding members of the world community and look where that got us, 4 less WTC Buildings, 3000 lives lost needlessly and one fine hotel, with the hottest chicks in NYC, all gone. Many families denied the simple privilage of a lovedone's body to bury. Some day I will take my children to NYC, DC and PA and try to describe to them how one September day in 2001, there lives were changed forever and they will never know the USA the way I once did. Under the leadership of GW and others like him, I know they will DO EVERYTHING they can to thwart another such day like that one. I don't particularly like the man or some of the things he has done in the last 3 years. I do know this, he will take action where others will take meetings and talk about doing a poll to see if maybe they should act or ask someone else if they will.

off the box. Oh, please, flame away, if you feel so inclined to let your foolishness blossom!

100-1/2

Given Titty's background, I'd say that he has plenty of right to post on those sections of this board since he's probably flown in most of those industry segments during his career.

As for your son's position in life giving you the right to spout your mindless drivel and endless complaining in a forum designed by professional pilots for professional pilots, go sell that BS somewhere else, because we're all stocked up here. Since you obviously feel the need to live vicariously through your son in your old age, I am sure you feel that -- along with his professional life -- his sex and personal life are of personal interest to you, too. Do you have a password and account on his union or pilot association web board, as well?

I would also suggest that you learn how to spell the Italian word capiche; even my black, government-school-educated ass knows that one.

Don't you have a bingo game or early-bird special that you're missing?

Mr. afroman......

I really doubt that Mr. Tittyjet is a pilot at all. I strongly suspect he is in high school, if he has not already dropped out. Look at his vague profile. He comes across to me as a sexually inadequate blowhard, with his inadequacies masked with his chosen pen name, then the "throbbing member" modifier, and other ridiculous garbage in his profile.

His posts generally are off color, in poor taste, and generally as childish as any I've seen. His debating 'style' is to use vulgarity and crude language, much like I would expect from an uneducated misfit.

I really doubt he could have passed the psychological tests to become a pilot with a major airline. I also suspect he sneaks onto his parent’s computer to write this junk.

Fine, afroman, you go ahead and join sides with this miscreant if you wish. You're certainly not doing yourself any favor by doing so.

KAPISH!

I'll repeat it for you, since you seem to miss the point. I do not require his, yours, or anyone else’s permission to post my opinions on this forum. Get used to it.

I have to go now…..I’m late for my bingo game.

(maybe I’ll take up Italian in night school)
