Keeping hotel points

I haven't seen anything on this topic and was wondering that with all the nights you guys spend in hotels do you get to keep points earned for stays. Such as Marriot Rewards, Holiday Inn Priority Club etc... Just curious because my wife travels with DHL and is at the highest level in almost all major hotel chains which works out nice for vacations. I know some companies make you give them back to them.

If your wife travels with DHL she charges the rooms to her company-issued AMEX and therefore gets to keep the miles.

That's why she has to turn in her expenses to get approved to be reimbursed by the company.

I'm willing to bet that most company paid airline rooms are direct billed.
