I never cared for Dreamland either, Tuscaloosa or BHM. Johnny Ray's or Jim & Nick's and a few others are much better.

If you hate BHM, that's the best in Alabama, unless it's Huntsville. Be glad you aren't in Montgomery.

Alabama is one of those places it takes some adjusting to like it. Forget the Yankee ways and adapt. No point in making yourself miserable. I enjoyed the 10 years I lived there, but it's no different than any other state I've lived in as far as plus & minus figures go.

If things are that bad, the answer is simple,...leave.
