I wonder what the policy at KAL is on low-energy go-arounds. The penalty is probably nothing but kim-chee for eight months straight.
 
Regardless of their policy, I would speculate that it is easier to explain a low energy GA than an engine nacelle contact with the ground

I would speculate the same, but you never know how some cultures operate.
 
I don't know, but I heard that KAL discourages hand-flying. If that's true, I would think that sort of lowers the whole airmanship thing.
