Flight Attendent "Excuse me sir, is that a knife in your pocket"
Passenger "No, it is a comb, You can trust me"
Flight Attendent "Capt. the passenger said it was just a comb"
Capt. "OK, good enough, NOT"

I think they did the right thing. You never know.

Terry

No, more like this:

US Air marshal with weapon drawn: "Sir please stand up and put your hands behind your head"

Passenger: "OK"

Other US Air Marshal: searches and finds a folding comb.

All is well
