i was told by my ATP instructor for my multi that pay there is $1000/month...true/false?

Cool, that means my pay per month will double. The sad part is that I am not joking. I worked for a flight school for almost a year and had a whopping four students. I just stayed the course until ATP called.

Congrats! Movement in the office has been so fast that there aren't enough willing career program grads to fill the spots. There was an instructor class of 8 that started May 2 and they have all left. My class consisted of 9 and started May 11. All but two have locations and are about to leave. 3 guys in the class didn't answer the phones once...You will have a choice of locations but ultimately ATP will send you where they need you, unless you hold out for one particular place.

Congrats on getting hired. My class starts July 5th (gotta graduate college first), but I was told I'd be working with the CFI program so that narrows my locations to CRG, FTY or Vegas.

If any of you guys have more info on how the process works (when we start getting paid, how long the class goes, getting to choose locale, etc) please PM me...I need to start planning for the move!

You don't get anything for proctoring writtens anymore. What a pain in the ass that was (proctoring). The bonus is in the student passing on the first try. At least that's how things were 3 months ago...

I didn't realize that had changed. They used to pay you $20 for proctoring the exams in the morning. It was a good way to make a few extra bucks.

Just wondering if any of you actually went through the program, what did you think?

You should be able to get a few ideas by searching previous threads about ATP (or as some like to call it, ALLATPS).

I went through the ACP program in '02 (before they offered FMS/CRJ training) and thought it was great, but like most others will tell you...they'll give you what you need to pass the checkrides; anything beyond that is up to you. PM me if you have any other questions.
