From the looks of the practice mini-bid, the caboose from the newest class is going to Subic. Anybody know if this is by choice or is it a draft and he is being forced to go...which would suck.

Just happy to be here!

I'm in the new class. He has it in there for the practice bid. Don't know if it'll be there for the real thing.

I think the flying out of Subic Bay would be fun for awhile. Does anybody know how easy it is to commute from ANC to SFS (Subic)? Would this be realistic?

Once training is complete on the Airbus, is there a minimum amount of time one has to stay on that equipment before moving on to another?

Friend of mine moved there 6 years ago. He loves it over there. Said he's never coming back to Memphis. He is single (so to speak) too.

The commute takes at least 24 hours through ANC. You'd have to plan on leaving home 2 days early to be legal.

As far as pay goes you make as much as a narrow body capt due to tax free income.

I don't think theres any set amount of time you have to spend over there. What it comes down to is if Fedex pays for your move. I'd have to research the CBA, but I think you have to spend 3 years for Fedex to foot the bill over and back. Anyone have the real answer?

Disco

Sluggo, I'm upstairs in 3F if you need any other info.
