Just wanted to let everyone who is interested know,
Airnet has finally reinstated jumpseating, effective, Monday, June 7th. This is for ALL Airlines we have a RECIPROCAL agreement with. Basically everything is back to normal until the TSA finds another way to F%$# it up.

Thanks to all for your patience in the process..... Hope to see you on my airplane soon...
Happy Hopping....

just wish the FAA and NATCA would let us controllers start jumping.

I know we are still on some airlines lists and I know some controllers are still doing it but I wish it was legal.

Actually Freightdoggie,it still ain't back to normal.Until you can come on my airplane and sit on the cockpit jumpseat, like we did for 1000 yrs.before 9/11 without any problems,it will still remain all f#@!&* up,thanks totally to the knee-jerkers at TSA.TSA=Too Stupid for Applebee's.

Various "powers that be" were trying to kill that program long before 9/11. It was nice for a single person, and I enjoyed using it and seeing how the other half lived... Natca and the FAA are only small players in this. I say the odds of us getting it again are less then 50% ...

Billy,
It depends what airplane you are in. The pistons generally have one open seat up front, the exception is some of the navajo's have a rear facing seat for an additional jumpseater/passenger.
The lears have a sideways seat that sits 2, a few also have a third jumpseat which folds down on the panel behind the captain. It can be very, very tight with 3 people and cargo in a lear. Bring the vasoline.....
the captain will need it during the full body pat down
