Looking to travel Charlotte to Rio on USAir next week.

-Better to list both ways in CLT?

-How about taxes, can they be paid round trip or is it better to pay the return taxes in Rio?

-Is USAir good about putting JS'ers in Envoy Class?

Never done the Int'l Jumpseat thing and can use all the info I can get!

Thanks

I've jumpseated on them within the last year from CLT-CDG. It was easy to list and pay the taxes at the customer service counter in CLT. You can pay your return taxes in advance. If you don't end up taking US back from GIG, you can get the taxes refunded at a US ticket counter.

As for getting Envoy class, I don't think that is likely to happen. The gate offered to sell me an upgrade to Envoy for $100, which I found strange as a jumpseater. Once onboard, the crew was friendly but neither offered an Envoy seat to me. Either way, I was greatful for the free ride.
