Any ACMI's or Cass-freight outfits go to Auckland and give jumpseats?

I used to ride a lot on Evergreen, and it was a pretty comfortable ride.

could you do LAX-sydney on Atlas and then try to jumpseat from there or buy a cheap ticket on a low cost carrier?

Atlas is not allowed to take a JS'er to NZ. It's in their contract with AZ.

Can you get ZED tickets where you work? I got one on AZ, about $220 round trip. Aside from that, I think the other guy's idea is the best bet. JS to SYD, then get a ticket to Auckland. A lot of airlines have traffic rights in the trans Tasman market, so shop around.

Also, beware. Taking UAL to SYD can be tough. Lots of cargo on both those flights (SFO-SYD, and LAX-SYD) so it can be tough to non-rev at times. I have heard that the SFO flight is easier. I believe that if you transit SYD, you might need to get the visa to do so. Anybody know for sure on that?
