Question: occupying the actual jump seat to and from Mexico. Go or no Go. Some airlines don't consider Mexico and Canada International. Off line is a definite no down in Mex, but what about feeders. 9E or XJ jumping on NWA, or Eagle on AA. Are they allowed up front?
Any info would help.

XJ, no international cockpit JS even for XJ pilots. Open cabin seat is ok. (yes Canada is international)

Mexico and Canada are International as far as customs/immigrations are concerend, and for that matter, CASS as well. It's just not considered Intn'l for dispatch purposes (i.e. 45mins fuel vs. 10% enroute burn plus 30mins, alternate airport required only IAW 1-2-3 rule vs. always required no matter the weather). I can't speak for the other airlines, but at AMR, AA can ride the jumpseat on AE and vise versa on all international flights. Done it four times already (Paris, Rome, Cancun, Rio on AA).
