Does anyone know if Southwest allows as many jump seaters as they have room or do they onlly allow one or two.

That's not quite accurate. They have unlimited jumpseats for certain carriers, but restrict others to one only. You have to know what their agreement says about your carrier.

It has been a bit of a sore point for us, since we allow unlimited jumpseaters that they do not reciprocate that with us. JetBlue was approved for unlimited jumpseats by the SWA pilots prior to 9-11, but it was never approved by management so it was not implemented into their agreements.

How about it SWA guys? You approved it over 2 1/2 years ago. Don't you think it's time to get the company to implement it?

Despite the formal agreements, gate agents and captains sometimes have the "big picture!"

We have an agreement, but I always show up with Cinnabons. Like a dozen. 25$ is awesome for a free ride. I call it the Cinnabon factor. They like it and you won't look like a cheap ass. (even though we all are)

Mine was to show up with a carrier of Starbucks frappucinos - never got turned down for a ride carrying a few of those..... :)

SWAPA is trying to get more airlines approved for unlimited jumpseats. Right now SWA management has only approved 7. They are Alaska, America West, ATA, Frontier, Horizon, Mesa, US Airways, & Skywest.
