In a perfect world, the judge (as well as you Mesa bashers) would realize that the issue was not Mesa but JO. Throw him down the well, or in a cell full of maniacal butt hungry sociopaths so that he gets what he deserves and his employees can keep their jobs and concentrate on making it a decent, respectable place.

LOL, he said "DECENT, RESPECTABLE"

Why don't his employees just go negotiate a decent contract? Then maybe it will be a decent place to work---might take a while to gain respect though!

You are proving his point. with the judge levying the fine against Mesa that's $145 million out of the bank that the Union could have used as leverage (we are in negotiations) IE- the old company is making money hand over fist argument. Now that is just 145 million less negotiating power that the union has. when this whole thing was Jo's hair brained scheme. and he and he alone should be punished. by the way thanks for your support in our negotiations.

You've got to be kidding me. Excuses for another crappy contract already? And support? We have our guys out there working on it right now because JO will not allow for his own people to come work on it. The real question is, will the Mesa pilot group have the nads to see this thing through? Or will they fold?

What is the makeup of the Board of Directors at Mesa? I mean, how on earth is there not a growing movement to kick his ass out of the CEO's seat?

Are you kidding? Everyone on that board either does business with Mesa or is just there to collect a check for voting in raises and bonuses for the current management team.

It's sleazy as hell. And if they wack the CEO, they'll just replace him with another one just as bad.

Acutally theyr're asking for $173 million and thats just the Hawaiian lawsuit. From what Ive read, Aloha has an even stronger case against Mesa. I think that begins early 08

You guys at MESA might as well bail now - UAL is pissed with the crappy performance, now (if this judgement stands) MESA will not have any money to fix itself. After the other lawsuit goes thru, they will enter chpt 11 and ask you guys for concessions! If you think it's bad now, just wait!!

True! And with every single Regional Airline hiring it couldn't have come at a better time! Get the hell out and don't look back.

True, by 2009 after the would-be failed appeals, Hawaiian and Aloha will co-own Mesa thur the bk-court. Maybe some of you mesa guys will finally fly that 737 that JO kept mentioning. Come to think of it, maybe thats why JO keeps putting that 737 carrot out there. So that mesa pilots could fly it after that retard gave Mesa away in court.

yea, its a shame that the company may have 175m less. but if any of you think that it was potentially going to the pilot group, you should go take a drug test. mesa employees should know better than anyone that that money is/was earmarked to line the BOD's pockets at some point, not the employees.

the only way mesa will improve is if JO and his pals are ousted out of the company. after that point, the company can start to recover. these two lawsuits might be the thing that forces a change and starts the company on the road to recovery.

i dont know why any employee would be upset about mesa losing the lawsuits. this probably the only way JO and friends will ever be held accountable for their actions and the only way there will be any change.

I don't understand why people go to work for Mesa anyway. Are they masochists?

Too bad with the lawsuits the pilots won't be able to negotiate company-subsidized sleeping boards for sleeping on the aircraft.
